There are three main steps in becoming an architect: education, experience, and examination. Most boards require completion of a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Undergraduate architecture program curriculum generally covers a variety of topics related to designing practical structures, architecture theory, and project planning.Masters of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree programs are designed for students who have a pre-professional degree in architecture or architectural studies.
An architect creates the overall aesthetic and look of buildings and structures. Buildings also must be functional, safe, and economical. It must suit the specific needs of the people who use them. Most importantly, they must be built with the public’s health, safety and welfare in mind.
If you focus on the implementation of your design then you are being called as an architect.
