Social media is an integral part of the modern era. It is the key element of communication and marketing these days.  A growing number of schools and teachers are utilizing social media in the classroom to further engage students in the learning process.

Interestingly, social media is an important tool that teachers can use to make their classrooms more engaging, interesting and culturally diverse.

Apparently, social media can be used to make studies more collaborative and efficient. It is a common platform within the reach of most of us.

One reason social media is so popular is that it allows people of all age groups and demographics to personalize the way they interact with the web. In the modern scenario, social media is increasingly being used as a study tool, especially for today's tech-savvy students.

How does it make learning better and engaging?

It's common for many students to be challenged by the same learning concept or course assignment. With social media, a centralized and well designed platform can be offered to the entire class or a group of students. The collective knowledge of an entire class can be directed on a common portal to achieve effective and efficient learning for all.

The Social broadcasting system offers many other advantages like-

1.Sharing of ideas: Social networking sites allow users to share ideas, activities, events and interests within their individual networks. Thus making it possible to connect with people who share interests and activities across political, economic and geographic borders.

2. Cost effective: Social media is cost effective in every possible way. Most of the educational, informational as well as recreational content can be accessed for free. Unlike other forms of media like electronic and print, you need not pay to buy space for publishing your content.

3.A boon for the curious ones: Students are always up for asking the silliest of the questions and such media interactivity can prove to be very beneficial to them. Other forms of media do not offer two-way interaction and feedback for better understanding of concepts and clearing doubts.
